At long last the DOJ files formal case against the people behind Wowawee (tama ba spelling:o). Those people have no sense of HIYA! After a few months binalik pa din yung show.
I lived near the ULTRA area and i saw how people started building up since beginning of the week waiting for that particular show, no security, no order whatsoever. Ni walang portable CR in sight. Mga tao natutulog sa sidewalk & walang makain.
Somebody should be jailed for what happened to those poor Pinoys. Wowawee preyed on their weakness -- the quick rich mentality.

I agree with you Pokwang. May reponsibility talaga yang mga organizer ng show, hindi porke yung kikita lang sila. They organized that big event dapat ready sila sa response ng tao and at the same time they should have anticipated all the possibilities.

I completely agree with the news angle that ABS-CBN was and is promoting mendicancy (despite that malamang GMA started this angle, LOL). Their promise for that anniv show was mamimigay sila ng limpak limpak na pera to anyone just for showing up. In a country where far more than 50% of people live below the poverty line - hello...? Talaga namang ibebenta ng mga taong gutom ang kaluluwa nila for money they can have na di kelangang paghirapan.
Meanwhile, too, ABS got busy focusing on shameless promotion of that show instead of aspects like security, which just shows where their hearts really lie.
At maidagdag ko lang: IMO, Ted Faylon is the journalist's version of a trapo (ie, traditional politician).

Dadag mo na din sila Mike Enriquez, Korina Sanchez at Arnold Clavio. As if we need all their idiotic opinions that do nothing to improve this country

Wowowee po ang spelling. No comment na lang ako kasi idol ko si Willie :D
